Yes I think that your "When a Whale Cries" poem is much improved too. Well the original was good anyway - but I understand what you mean about it being now more fluid as you read through it. It's great Daz.
I've just added "An even playing field" and "the Drummer Boy" to your index, above. I think that's up to date now, but please will you check it? What a brilliant collection now David!! I come back to this board a lot to read through them all. My mum and dad love them too.
Hope all is going OK for you and we'll talk again soon. Luv, Cas xxx
PS; A text link now been added at the foot of every poem Topic for quick return to the Index........... >> Back to Index to Daz's Poems >> |

I'm not sure if your index above is up to date, so I'll check that later this week some time Daz. But just wanted to mention about the fault with line spacing when centering text and images. It still isn't rectified, & its not just our Forum - it seems to be a problem throughout Forumotions (our hosts). They seem to be having some trouble making it right - but it will be sorted eventually. In the meantime, yes, to ensure you get the line spacing displaying correctly - for now, use the Left margin, instead of centering.
Bye for now Cas xxx |

The Meaning Of Life And Everything.
Solution Pollution.
John Arnold. (In progress).
Daz, I discovered that the back and forth links between your Index & the poems were all opening in new windows or tabs. I've corrected this now in the Index - so all just open in the same tab or window. Will check the links back to the index from each indidiviual poem over the weekend some time and correct any needed in the same way. I think has occurred since we changed to the new domain www.smithchat.com. We changed all internal links to be www.smithchat.com. But now discovered that all the internal links should be just ... http://smithchat.com .... etc. - otherwise they open new windows or tabs!! Don't ask me why!!?? haven't a clue!

Just found Cas that if I change the font colour to brown the centre positioning works ok. At the moment I'm writing a long one for older children on King Arthur. I've nearly finished and will e-mail it to you for your comments. I won't post it for the moment as I would like to see if I can get it published as a childrens book. I just need illustrations. If you feel the need to draw when you read it, that would be great..... If we're not successful then I will put it on the forum. Will talk soon. Lots of Love. Daz. xxx |

No need to apologise - We're just happy to see you here whenever you can Ooooh I'm looking forward to receiving your long King Arthur poem. Yes - I don't blame you for approaching a publisher.
As far as I can make out now - I think the centering plus line-spacing technical problem has been resolved now. But please let me know if you do have any more trouble with the formatting.
Chat again soon Cas xxx
ps all the links in the index above are OK, but just working through the list and correcting the link at the bottom of each poem topic (to prevent the opening of multiple tabs or windows)... this one is a correct link.... >> Back to Index to Daz's Poems >> Reminder for me - all corrected in the topics up to My bike ride 1962 & to be continued. ____________________________ |

Daz, I'm so sorry for not having caught up with your latest poems and other input yet. Since our week on "limited access" I haven't been able to get online much because of other committments I've been having to give time to. I will be having a "big catch up" this weekend, and hope to chat with you then.
