Hi All,

Round Thirteen saw a few close games, one absolute shellacing, and a fighting win for Essendon. (go the Bombers).
Friday night St Kilda (Saints) took on Fremantle (Dockers) in Melbourne at the Telstra Dome. A close fought game had the Saints winning by 8 points.
Saturday afternoon had two matches taking place. The first, at the MCG, between Hawthorn (Hawks) and North Melbourne (Kangaroos) resulted in a 'Roos win by 27 points. The second, at AAMI stadium in Adelaide had Port Power going down in a nail biting finish, losing to Richmond by 4 points.
That evening saw another two matches take place. The first at Subiaco in Perth wasn't a game, but a shame, as Geelong (Cats) handed the West Coast Eagles (Eagles) a 135 point drubbing. The second saw Adelaide (Crows) travelling to Brisbane (Lions) and lose by 13 points at the Gabba (Woolloongabba) ground.
On Sunday Melbourne (Demons) had a heavy loss against Sydney (Swans) by 40 points at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. The second match of the day saw an inspired Essendon (Bombers) upstage Carlton (Blues) at the MCG winning by 35 points. The Western Bulldogs have underlined their top-four credentials with a 10-point win over Collingwood ( Magpies) in one of the games of the season at Telstra Dome.

Hoping your team won.

Round 14 was a split round, played over two weekends, 6 matches the first week, and two last weekend to complete the round.

HAWTHORN had a 57-point win over West Coast at the MCG with a score of 18.18 (126) to West Coast's 9.15 (69)

CARLTON in front of 73,503 at the MCG turned a one-point deficit at three-quarter time into a five-goal win, 17.16 (118) to 12.16 (88) over Richmond.

A THRILLING contest saw St Kilda defeat North Melbourne by 15 points at Gold Coast Stadium on Saturday night. The Saints overcame a goalless first quarter and a 31-point deficit early in the second to win 12.12 (84) to 9.15 (69).

THE WESTERN Bulldogs had a 54-point victory over Port Adelaide at TIO Stadium in Darwin on Saturday night to triumph 20.15 (135) to 11.15 (81).

Melbourne pulled off a thrilling one-point win, upsetting the highly-fancied Lions 14.9 (93) to 13.14 (92).

ESSENDON in what developed into a war of attrition with both sides losing key players to injury, held off a fast-finishing Fremantle to win 14.11 (95) to 13.13 (91).

Geelong flattened Adelaide by 68 points at AAMI Stadium comprehensively outplaying them all over the ground to win 18.16 (124) to 8.8 (56) in front of 44,377 spectators.

COLLINGWOOD at ANZ Stadium won 11.13 (79) to 6.14 (50) despite a spirited effort from the home side in the final term in front of almost 60,000 spectators.

Yes Carole, Collingwood's Kit is black and white vertical stripes just like Newcastle United

hope your team won

John
