|  Smith Chat has now been switched back to normal access (from 6.15pm BST, 19th July 08). Now looking forward to chatting again with our members. Call in soon and please update us on your Smith or other related surnames' research. Or click into the Social Club "chit-chat" board any time for any non-gen chat or trivia.

 Hello to all members and guests,
An e-circular has been sent out to all members with the following information.
The Forums are to be switched into limited access for 10 days, from 11pm BST Wednesday 9th July to approx 11pm BST on Saturday 19th July 2008. This is to allow time for some essential maintenance at the forums & more updating on the Smith List site, and to provide some time out for the Moderators.
During those 10 days, the Forums are to remain accessible for browsing, and the private messaging service will remain active for members. But it will not be possible to post new Topics or replies on the public boards, & new member registrations will not be available.
Thank you very much to all our members for your ongoing support, this is valued, and we hope the limited access period won't cause any of you too much inconvenience.
